About

The Nest @ John Richards is a subsidiary of John Richards.

The John Richards company was established in 1955.  We specialised in Ex Military Land Rovers and spares.  Over the years, The John Richards company has become a name synonymous with trust and good customer service.  In 2006, we started an Ebay shop ‘johnrichardssurplus’ and started selling vehicle spares online, becoming a Power Seller with maximum positive feedback in a very short time.

in 2007, the opportunity arose to add a new branch to the company with the demise of a giftware wholesaler whose stock was put up for tender.  With the decline in the availability of ex military vehicles and spares, despite still holding a vast quantity of stock, we decided to look into the giftware on sale and bid for quite a large quantity of items with a view to diversify and start selling giftware alongside the vehicle parts.

With the vehicle related side of the business already going strong, it was decided to sell the giftware in the same Ebay shop.  This worked fine to an extent but we needed to seperate Vehicle parts from giftware online, if not at our retail premises. So The Nest @ John Richards was inevitable.  We have our own shop which is open to the public here at our Hinstock premises and now our own online presence.

We are a family run business and are always looking to add as much variety to our shop as possible so we cater for all styles & preferences.

We aim to have varied posts in this blog to inform, entertain & amuse.  We would welcome comments.  However, these will be moderated before posting to the site to avoid any unpleasant language or adult comments.

We are starting the blog with Introductions and will introduce each member of the team of 5 who each play an important role in the business and will hopefully give you a small idea of what makes each member of the team tick!

You are also invited to follow our blog by email – each time a new post is added, you will receive it by email so you’ll never miss any important information! Just look for the follow button on the bottom right of the page!

Thank you for reading – please read on!

Thanks for you comment – you can read about each team member in our Introductions which give a little insight into each of the 5 individuals. We didn’t want a business blog – everyone & his wife is doing that! – This is for our customers & aquaintances to add general information & interesting facts, with the occasional bit of culture perhaps & humour 😉
